Not too bright and early (cough cough, Oscars), Emmy nominations morning is almost here. On Wednesday, Emmy winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller will announce the nominations for the 78th Emmy Awards, streamed live from the Wolf Theatre in the Academy’s Saban Media Center.

And, yes, you can follow along with all the fun. You can watch live on the Emmy Awards website or on the Television Academy’s YouTube channel, which we’ve embedded below.

Two categories, however, will be announced earlier on “NBC Today” between 7:45 a.m. ET and 8:20 a.m. ET. Those categories include Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Reality Competition Program

For the last few weeks, IndieWire has been predicting the contenders in every category, and there are several names that are expected to be heard on nom morning. Comedy series like “Hacks,” “Widow’s Bay,” “The Comeback,” and “Abbott Elementary” are all anticipated to rack up nominations, while on the drama side, “The Pitt,” “Euphoria,” “Industry,” and more are expected to have a nice showing.

Last year, the Emmys bestowed big wins on “The Studio,” “The Pitt,” and “Adolescence,” among other titles. “The Studio” ended up breaking the record for the most Emmys ever won by a comedy series in its first season with 13 overall, including the awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series to Seth Rogen, Best Directing of a Comedy to Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and Best Writing of a Comedy to Rogen and the whole team. And finally, Outstanding Comedy Series.

“Adolescence” won 8 Emmys overall, including Best Limited Series, Best Actor Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Actor Owen Cooper (also an IndieWire Honors recipient), Best Supporting Actress Erin Doherty, Best Directing, and Best Writing.

And “The Pitt” won five Emmys overall, including Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Noah Wyle, and Katherine LaNasa for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

The Primetime Emmys will be handed out on Monday, September 14 on NBC. This year’s awards will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay, who is going into her 28th season as the star of “SVU,” which airs on NBC and is the longest-running primetime drama in American TV history.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Hargitay will “be the first host who’s not primarily known for their comedic work in almost two decades. The last time the Emmys had a host who wasn’t a comedian or comic actor was in 2008, when the five nominees for best reality host (Tom Bergeron, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Jeff Probst, and Ryan Seacrest) shared emcee duties.”

Watch the Emmy nominations announced live on its website at 11:30 a.m. ET.
